Jannet Irving Sampler

Jannet Irving was born in Raeburnhead, Scotland. In 1836, she stitched her sampler, in 1851, she married George Farish. A year later, the couple was blessed with a son, James. The young family emigrated to America, settling in New Jersey. Among the things Jannet chose and packed so carefully was her sampler. It is a cherished Farish family heirloom, prized by Jannet's great-great-great granddaughters, my daughters, Catherine and Elizabeth. May your copy become as cherished an heirloom in yours.
