Third Band: Bargello

Bargello is another technique based on the satin stitch. It is a repeat pattern of rows of upright satin stitches. In this case, all rows are the same height (2 linen threads) but in complex patterns, the stitch height will vary.

For each row within the band, work left-to-right. This band will line up exactly under the first two stitch bands, with two linen threads left empty between this band and the one above it.

AIDA: Follow the same chart and make all cross stitches rather than satin stitches.

Overall, this band sampler will be:
36 Stitches Wide
63 Stitches High
